Terms of service
What you can expect from us, what we expect from you, and what we do and do not promise about the data.
Last updated October 27, 2026
These terms are a contract between you and OpenWings Automação Comercial Ltda., CNPJ 63.852.648/0001-06 ("socially", "we") for the use of socially.run (the API, the console, the reference and the SDK).
1. The service
socially reads public web pages on your behalf and returns what it read: profile lookups, post lookups, website reads, username searches, email lookups, dossiers and trending topics. Every lookup answers found, not found or we could not check (the API's undecided). The third means we could not read the page: it was blocked, rate-limited, timed out or unreadable. It is not a statement about the person, and it is not charged.
2. Accounts and keys
You need an account to use the service. You are responsible for whatever is done with your API keys: keep them secret, revoke one you suspect is exposed, and tell us at hello@socially.run. One person, one account; teams share keys, not passwords.
3. Credits, plans and payment
- Usage is metered in credits. Each kind of lookup has a fixed cost, published in the console and in the reference. An answer served from our cache costs nothing and says so.
- A plan carries a monthly credit quota that resets on the 1st of each calendar month, UTC, regardless of your billing date. It also sets a daily cap, a rate limit and a ceiling on jobs running at once. Credit packs add credits that never expire and are drawn only after the month's quota is spent.
- Payments are card-only, through Stripe. Each account pays in one currency (US dollars, Brazilian reais or euros), fixed at its first purchase. A subscription renews monthly until you cancel it; cancelling keeps the plan until the end of the period you already paid for.
- Spent credits are not refunded. We refund automatically when the failure was ours: a lookup we could not check, an internal error, a job we lost. We do not refund credits because you did not like a result.
- Prices can change. We announce a change at least 30 days ahead, and it applies from your next renewal.
4. Acceptable use
The acceptable use policy is part of these terms. In short: public data only; no harassment, stalking, doxxing, discrimination, spam or unlawful profiling; no re-identifying people who asked to be excluded; no reselling raw results as a people-search product; no working around rate limits, quotas or suppressions. An email lookup additionally needs a paid plan and your recorded acceptance of that policy. We suspend accounts that breach it, immediately, and without a refund where the breach is deliberate.
5. No warranty about the data
We read other people's public pages, and those pages can change or refuse a read. If we cannot read a source, we may return the last successful stored result at 0 credits. It keeps the original read time; it is not a new reading, and it can be of any age. We keep the data we read, not the original page HTML or media files, and media links may expire. Check the timestamp before using a result. We make no warranty of completeness, accuracy, timeliness or fitness for any purpose. You must not make a decision with legal or similarly significant effects on a person based only on our results.
6. Availability
We aim to be available continuously, but the service depends on third parties we do not control. Planned maintenance is announced; a platform going dark is reported live at /v1/platforms and in the console. No service credits are owed for downtime.
7. Intellectual property
The service, its software, its documentation and its brand are ours. The results are yours to use within the acceptable use policy; the public data inside them belongs to the people who published it. The username database is built from open-source projects credited at /v1/attributions and on our data and retention page; the parts under CC BY-SA 4.0 stay under that license.
8. Termination
You can delete your account at any time from the console. We block access right away and hold the account for 14 days so you can undo it. After that we delete it from the live system; the privacy policy explains backup expiry and the payment records we must keep. We can suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, or that we are legally required to close.
9. Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damage or for lost profits. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil, and disputes go to the courts of Curitiba, Paraná, without prejudice to the consumer rights that apply where you live.
11. Changes
We can update these terms. A material change is announced by email at least 15 days before it applies, and using the service after that date is acceptance.
